Seattle Training Options
Detailed assessments to ensure crane safety and operational excellence

On-Site Training
On‑site training is designed for companies that have the facilities and equipment available at their own location and prefer to keep their employees onsite for logistical or operational reasons. All on‑site training requires the company to provide the crane or equipment that will be used during the training and evaluations.

Off-Site Training
Off‑site training is intended for customers who do not have the facilities or space to conduct training at their own location. Paradise Crane Consultants will arrange a suitable rented facility; however, the company must still provide the crane or equipment needed for the training and evaluations.

Questions
Find answers to common questions about crane training and certification in Seattle, Washington.
Paradise Crane delivers on-site instruction across Washington, from Seattle to Spokane, and beyond. We schedule training at your jobsite, facility, or yard to minimize disruption to your operations.
Yes. On-site training is our standard approach. We bring instructors and curriculum to your location, allowing your crew to train where they work and reducing travel costs.
Yes. Washington L&I enforces its own crane rules (WAC 296-155 Part L), which exceed federal OSHA: operators need a valid certificate from a nationally accredited testing organization for each crane type, and cranes must be certified and proof-load tested annually by an L&I-recognized certifier. Tower cranes now also require L&I permits, a pre-operation safety conference, and submitted qualifications for everyone involved in operation and assembly — and starting January 1, 2027, tower crane A/D directors must hold national certification.
Paradise Crane recommends scheduling four to six weeks in advance. This allows time to coordinate travel, prepare materials, and align with your crew’s availability. Paradise Crane can in some cases accommodate classes booked as late as 7 days in advance, as long as our teaching schedule allows.
We provide certification preparation for NCCER and support training for crane operators, riggers, signalpersons, and lift directors. Paradise Crane also offers OSHA qualification classes and specialized safety training, including fall protection and confined space training.
