On-Site Training

On‑site training is designed for companies that have the facilities and equipment available at their own location and prefer to keep their employees onsite for logistical or operational reasons. All on‑site training requires the company to provide the crane or equipment that will be used during the training and evaluations.

Off-Site Training

Off‑site training is intended for customers who do not have the facilities or space to conduct training at their own location. Paradise Crane Consultants will arrange a suitable rented facility; however, the company must still provide the crane or equipment needed for the training and evaluations.

FAQs

Common questions about crane training and certification in Washington.

Do you provide statewide training?

Yes. Paradise Crane delivers on-site training across Washington State. We coordinate scheduling and logistics to fit your crew's location and availability.

Can training be held at our site?

That's our standard approach. We bring classroom and hands-on instruction to your jobsite, yard, or facility to minimize downtime and travel.

Is certification required in Washington?

Washington enforces its own crane rules through L&I (WAC 296-155 Part L), which exceed federal OSHA. Operators must hold a valid certificate from a nationally accredited testing organization for each crane type, and cranes must be certified and proof-load tested annually by an L&I-recognized certifier. Updated rules took effect September 5, 2025.

How far ahead should we schedule?

Paradise Crane recommends scheduling four to six weeks in advance. This allows time to coordinate travel, prepare materials, and align with your crew’s availability. Paradise Crane can in some cases accommodate classes booked as late as 7 days in advance, as long as our teaching schedule allows.

What certifications do you support?

We provide certification preparation for NCCER and support training for crane operators, riggers, signalpersons, and lift directors. Paradise Crane also offers OSHA qualification classes and specialized safety training, including fall protection and confined space training.
